Nicola Anderson

Nicola is a yoga teacher from Ottawa, born and raised. She loves green smoothies, singing and playing her guitar, yoga, writing, adventures, and taking photos along the way.

Nicola’s education includes a B.A.H. in Health Studies from Queen’s University, and a diploma in Holistic Nutrition. Upon graduating university, she tried her very first Moksha class and fell in love instantly.  Since then Nicola has taken over 500 hours of teacher trainings, in Moksha, vinyasa, and yin styles of yoga.

Life as a yoga teacher has proven to be quite the adventure! Nicola has been able to teach in Vancouver, and even spent a year living in Australia teaching yoga at Modo Yoga Sydney.
In her classes, Nicola aims to emphasize the importance of breath, moving with a steady focus and playful ease, and provides thoughtful anatomical cues to keep students engaged. “For me, the most life-changing part of this yoga practice are those five minutes of sweet savasana at the end of class.”
