Waking up the Dormant (Yoga Made Simple)

Yoga isn’t just about stretching into the places we always feel, it’s also about waking up the areas within us that are dormant. These are areas we have forgotten or that are so tightly locked up they have shut down.

Our bodies are the universe and these dormant spaces are the black holes… they drain the energy out of us! So, when you move into a yogaposture notice where you feel and then, because everything is interconnected within our bodies, notice where you don’t.

Simply focusing your calm thoughts on such a space already starts firing up the neurons in that direction to waken up the area. Breathing into those dormant spaces allows you to slowly create more space there for movement. Time to set our phasers to stun and get rid of these black holes to energize ourselves!
